TopLine Home Improvement was founded in 1981 by Mike White and Tom Hohmann on Brown Street in Marine Park, Brooklyn.

Committed to offering honest, high-quality home improvement services to their Brooklyn neighbors and working largely through word-of-mouth referrals, the business became recognized for professionalism and integrity in an industry often plagued by low levels of trust and unreliability.

In 1983, Mike and Tom opened TopLine’s first showroom and office at 2206 Avenue X in Brooklyn. With a small but welcoming local presence dedicated to showcasing premium window, door, siding, and roofing products, TopLine was credited for outstanding products, workmanship, and dependable service.
